The importance of WordPress posts
Creating content that’s up to date, that contains relevant and useful information is always a good thing for your site. WordPress allows you to do it. With a SEO Plugin and the propper content you will be posting things that will not only show up in the search engines, but also will create engagement with the reader.
Step One: starting the post on a blank page
On the left side of the screen, click “Posts” (A) and it will bring up a the screen below. Press “Add New” at the top of the page (B) to create a new post. You can also look up on for existing posts to edit them by using the “Search Posts” bar on the top right.
Step Two: The Filling
Once you open up the new post, you’ll see the screen below. Your title (A) should be attention grabbing. This is what draws the reader in to want to read your post.
You can also categorize the post (B) so that it sorts it under the appropriate section of the page or subpage.
Another nice feature is the fact that you can schedule posts (C). So in reality, you can have a bunch of posts written up, scheduled to post automatically through-out a few weeks, instead of writing them at the exact moment you want them to be published.
This feature is a huge time saver because you can produce posts whenever you have the time and program WordPress to publish them automatically.
